About Us

Why We Started

The Paralegal TownHall was born out of a simple truth: paralegals in Ontario needed a space of our own. A space where we could gather, share knowledge, challenge ideas, and strengthen the bonds of our profession. Too often, paralegals were working in silos—passionate, capable, but without a consistent forum to unite and grow together.

Why It Was Needed

Access to justice is at the heart of what we do. But how can we deliver that access if we, as paralegals, don’t have the tools, training, and collective support we need? The TownHall hopes to fill that gap. We hope to became the place where students, new licensees, and seasoned professionals alike could come together—through CPDs, new mooting/mock trial competitions, mentorship sessions, and candid conversations about our challenges and triumphs.

What We Hope to Accomplish

Our mission is bigger than events or courses—it’s about building a movement. We want to:

1.Elevate the paralegal voice in Ontario’s justice system.

2. Foster mentorship so no one feels they have to walk this path alone.

3. Provide high-quality, affordable CPD opportunities tailored to real practice.

4. Celebrate the wins of our colleagues and remind each other that we rise by lifting each other.

5. Push forward conversations about scope, advocacy, and professional unity.

The Paralegal TownHall isn’t just an initiative—it’s a community. It’s proof that when paralegals stand together, we become stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to serve the public.

💡 This is only the beginning. And the best part? We’re doing it together.
